I Will Play Again
God, I haven't played tennis in liek 2 weeks. It's killing me. The weather in Frostburg hasn't been very good. Some days have been clear but too chilly or too windy to play.
I will play again when the weather breaks, and it will be fun. I will call it my rebirth. I feel like I've been sidelined from injury and haven't been able to play or something. Oh well. I always like playing after a long absence. It seems like I always play better because I am more eager to get out there and win.
Why did I just tell you this?

Facebook Isn't That Cool
What's everyone flipping out about Frostburg being added to facebook? I think it's boring. I have a myspace.com account and I find that much more entertaining.
For those of you who don't know, Facebook.com is come college online personals thing. And Frostburg State wasn't a part of it until the other day, and suddenly people are throwing their babies over it. It's not even that cool. Myspace is tha bomb space and that's that.

Exotic Pets, Not Dancers...
I really want a pet. I am thinking something like a deer. How about a lion? Or a tiger. Bears are retarded, but oh my would that be fun. Nothing fits my personality except a rabid squirrel, and who wants that?
I think a dragon would be cool, but do they even make those anymore? I think they were discontinued...quicker than cabbage patch.
What am I talking about? It's like 7am or something.

Lake Erie Sucks
Well I just got back from Lake Erie yesterday (Sunday). We, as in the tennis team, went and stayed up there for the weekend. We played two matches. Both of which I lost. It's all good though. I am learning a lot about how I play...which is better than just breezing through a match if you ask me. I mean sure, I would love to have a better record than I do. But I think if I was just winning all of my matches, I wouldn't stop and think about how I am playing. So in that sense, it's a good thing.
We woke up Sunday morning and there was a foot of snow on the ground. That was depressing. I really hate snow. It was around 60 all last week, and to wake up on a Sunday and see a foot of snow was very unsatisfying...if that is even a word.
So we drove for four hours, and the farther south we went, the less snow that could be seen. That's a weird sentence. Read that again, and let me know if it is right. Anyway, by the time we got to Frostburg, it was around 55 degrees and sunny! I was so happy. I never thought that I woudl want to be back in Frostburg so bad in my life.
Tomorrow (today since it's 2:30 in the morning, and I am up writing instead of resting for a match) we play Juniata. I think I have a chance to win. I think it's too late in the season to even have a winning record at this point. But, oh well. It's been satisfying for my game thus far.
I hope you all are having a great life. Only a few more weeks of this semester to go. Isn't that weird to think about?!!
P.S. Did you know that ?!! is called an interrobang? I learned that in English the other day. Go tell your grandparents, or your one friend that thinks he or she knows everything...but don't be thinking about it in your head first. If you are going to say it just say it...because you don't want to forget what you are thinking. You'll end up thinking, "Hey maybe I have something to say in this conversation...I'll tell them what an interrobang is." Then, start thinking, "They will think I am really smart," and by that time you have started congratulating yourself too soon, and because you did that, you completely forgot what you were going to say in the first place.
Then he or she that thinks he or she knows everything turns to you and says, "Anyway, what were you saying?" But because you forgot what you were thinking because you started congratulating yourself too soon, you just say any random thing.
"Uh...six to one, half a dozen of the other!"
"It's a slippery slope my friend...!"
"Teach a man to fish, and uh, there's no I in team!"
:)

Tennis Is In The Air!
Well today was a weird day. It was the first really beautiful day of the year though, so that was exciting. I think it got up to 57. I am going to be looking back at this entry in the summer and wondering to myself how the hell I got through weather this cold. Needless to say I am a very summer-time kinda guy.
We played Pitt-Greensburg today. It was a good day for tennis, but I must admit...these guys were really bad. I mean HORRIBLE. I played No. 3 doubles first with Chris. We beat them 8-1. How we lost a game is beyond me. These guys hardly knew how to hit the ball. They were really nice guys and kept the match entertaining though, so it wasn't that bad. Then, I played one of those same guys at No.5 singles. Of course, I can't get my errors down regardless of who I am playing. However I still managed to beat him 6-2, 6-2. It was my first singles win of the season but it wasn't a contest at all.
Tomorrow we play Penn State Altoona. I played No.6 singles when we played these guys before. I lost the match 6-4, 6-2...but was playing well. It's those damn errors that are keeping me from winning. When I am not hitting errors, I am hitting REALLY well. I just can't seem to string together enough points in a row to win these damn games. It's coming along though. I am doing some new stuff with both my forehand and my backhand...and it's working. So, we'll see how that goes tomorrow when they are down here on our home turf.
Venus and Serena played each other today in the quarterfinals of the Nasdaq-100 Open in Miami. Venus won 6-1, 7-6(8). I didn't think she was going to win, but she was amazing today. If she plays like she did tonight against Maria on Thursday, she should definitely win.
Anyway, odds are if you are reading this you really don't care about tennis. So, I will shut up. I am going to bed now that it's 3:30AM and I am done studying for my tests.
...Goodnight!

Hitch
Well tonight I went to see Hitch with my good friend Andrew. He goes to UMBC, and he is in until Sunday. Anyway, it was a really good movie, and I would suggest anyone go see it. Will Smith does a good job in it. He should do more movies where he isn't screaming, "Ah hell nah's" all the time. It would be good for him.
Why haven't I been updating this thing?
You are in Italy and it's driving me nuts.

Back To Business
Well, it's been a long time since I have updated this thing. I apologize. A lot has been going on. I am trying to settle in to my new room, and my new classes but I am still adapting. We both know that I always make time for myself during the day, and that I usually do have plenty of time to update this blog...it's just the matter that I am too lazy to actually do it.
I haven't had much to talk about lately. It's a new semester, and I am excited. Hopefully things will go better this semester stress-wise than they did last semester. As you probably know, it was very hectic.
Anyway, nothing really is new since the last post I put, except that I am back at school. I start tennis up here this week too, so that should be fun. I hope everyone is having a nice life. If you aren't, that sucks. Just be glad you're alive...that's how I deal with my stressful days.

The Birth of My Career?
...I wish.
I have decided to announce right here on my very own blog that I am writing a book. That's right ladies and gentlemen. I am very excited about it. It's in the beginning stages as of right now, but my goal is to have it published and distributed by the end of this year. It will take a lot of time, work, effort, and money but I am determined to get it published.
As of right now, I can not say what the book is about except that it will probably be a fiction novel. I am writing a few different treatments and seeing which one kind of comes together the best.
This is what I have always wanted to do. I love writing, and my ultimate dream is to be a best-selling author. I doubt my book will be a best-seller but I need to start somewhere. Writing for anyone or anything and making a profit of it would be my dream come true. I love writing, and being able to do it and make money from it as a career would be incredible. I will keep everyone updated on the situation of my book as the year progresses...especially when it comes out.
I plan on having t-shirts made and other things like that to promote the distribution of it. So, look for those sometime soon too. I will make sure you all have links so you can buy them because they are going to be tha bomb.
Anyway, had to get that off my chest. Happy 2005, and buy my book when it comes out.

Christmas, New Year's Day, and Ryan!
This is the first post of 2005. I am really excited about that.
Christmas: I opened presents. Went to my aunt's house for dinner. Came home and slept. It was a great Christmas though. I love my family even without the gifts. They are great people.
New Year's Day: I went to Kristin's house. A bunch of us went. You can check out the pictures here. I had a lot of fun there, and it was a nice time.
While at Kristin's house, Ryan Hilly and I stayed up til 7a.m. talking about life and everything. He is moving to Pittsburgh on Thursday for school and I am really sad. Mainly because his school is year round. He won't have a break for a couple months...and even then he doesn't know if he will be able to come back to Cumberland. I am really sad about that. Ryan is one of the best people alive and I don't want him to leave. I know he will do fine there and it will be an awesome experience for him.
Good luck buddy. It's going to be awesome.
